Detroit Teen Girl Named Princess Diana Charged With Shooting And Wounding Boy, 13, At Bus Stop

Princess Diana Jennings-Carter, 16, of Detroit, faces charges for allegedly shooting and wounding a 13-year-old boy on the city's west side on April 23. She is being prosecuted as an adult.

The shooting occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the 17100 block of W. 7 Mile Road.

Authorities allege that Jennings-Carter approached the boy at a bus stop and fired multiple shots, wounding him in the right thigh and buttocks. She fled the scene and was arrested the following day.

Police did not disclose if the girl knew the victim, or the motive behind the shooting.

Jennings-Carter faces charges of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, carrying a weapon with unlawful intent, and three counts of felony firearm.

She was arraigned Thursday afternoon in Detroit 36th District Court before Magistrate William Burton and given a $500,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether and house arrest.
