Ferndale Resident Opens Second Restaurant in Her City. This Time It's a Barbecue Joint.

Ferndale resident Dana Taucher, who already operates one restaurant in Ferndale, has opened another — Smokehaus Ferndale, a barbecue restaurant.

The restaurant, which serves everything from brisket to pulled pork to hamburgers, opened this past week at 177 Vester St. in a spot previously occupied by M-Brew and Scout Vester, Crain’s Detroit Business reports. It has seating for 100 people inside and another 50 on the outdoor patio.

Smokehaus is situated across the street from Taucher’s Syndicate Ferndale, an upscale  restaurant with a seasonal menu at 140 Vester St., which has been open for two years.
